Existing Home BER
If you offer for sale or rent an existing property after the 1st January 2009 then you will be required to have a Building Energy Rating (BER) carried out.
In carrying out the BER audit we can also provide you with recommendations on how the rating can be improved. Sometimes it can be relatively inexpensive to improve a rating and moving up a grade can improve the attractiveness of your property to prospective buyers or tenants.
You can look through some of the thermal images in our Thermal Analysis section to see some of common problems we have found in building fabric elements of existing buildings. The Thermal Analysis is an optional service and not required for BER certification.

- All our BER certificates are covered by the SEI recommended level of Professional Indemnity insurance for the 10 year duration of the certificate
- Each assessment is checked by a Quality Auditor after completion by the Assessor to ensure quality and consistency of the BER assessment
